Wheelchair user access is provided using the Domino Zonzini platform Stair Climber.
The stair climber accommodates wheelchairs up to 87.5cm (34 inches) in length and 96.5cm (38 inches) in width – excluding any footrest. The maximum combined weight the Stair Climber can accommodate is 400kg (62 Stones) when distributed evenly across the wheelchair.
Electric wheelchair users may be asked to transfer into the theatre’s manual wheelchair on arrival if the theatre staff consider the electric wheelchair unsuitable for transportation on the Stair Climber. Electric and manual wheelchair users are requested to contact our Access Team via phone or email ahead of purchasing tickets to discuss specific requirements and to book the use of the Stair Climber.
We ask that all patrons requiring the use of the Stair Climber arrive at the theatre 45 minutes before the start of the performance.
Stalls M1 and M18 provide wheelchair spaces, with companion seats adjacent.
Disabled toilet facilities are available by arrangement with our neighbours, the Strand Palace Hotel and the Adelphi Theatre, a few doors down from the Vaudeville. A member of theatre staff will accompany customers wishing to use the disabled toilet facilities; alternatively customers may present their theatre tickets at the main entrance of the Adelphi Theatre.
Gender neutral toilets are located in the Dress Circle. Ladies toilets are located in the Stalls and Grand Circle. Gentlemen’s toilets are located in the Dress Circle and Grand Circle.
The theatre bars are located in the Dress Circle and Grand Circle. A member of theatre staff will offer assistance purchasing beverages. Programmes and Ice Creams are available in the main foyer and auditorium.
The theatre is fitted with a Sennheiser radio frequency assisted hearing system. Headsets are available on a first come first served basis.
The following receivers are available:
• HDE 2020-D-II Stethoset receivers.
• EK 2020-D-II receivers.
The HDE 2020-D-II Stethoset is a 6 channel, radio receiver designed for operating in the 863 MHz–865 MHz frequency band.
The receiver is comfortable to wear and integrates both the receiver and headphones. The LC display provides information of volume, battery status, quality of reception and the channel being listened to. Channels can easily be set and adjusted by using the middle buttons.
The EK 2020-D-II is a belt pack style radio receiver, it can be used with mono or stereo headphones, earphones or a personal neckloop cable with hearing devices set to T function (lanyard included). Please note these devices are not Bluetooth compatible.

Assistance dogs are welcome. For comfort we recommend purchasing a seat on the end of a row. Alternatively we provide a dog sitting service for 2 dogs at a time; advance booking is recommended.
To access the auditorium there are 6 stairs down to the Stalls, 22 stairs upto the Dress Circle and 54 stairs up to the Upper Circle.
